FEATURED RESOURCES

Vital information to help educate youth, facilitators, mentors around the issues of gender based violence.
  1. Anyone can be a victim/survivor of GBV, and everyone can play a role in reducing its likelihood and harm
  2. Due to strict gender roles, people conditioned as male are generally more likely to perpetuate GBV
  3. Also due to strict gender roles, people conditioned as male are generally less likely to talk about their emotions and traumatic experiences, and less likely to ask for and access help when affected by GBV
  4. Boys and men are less likely to engage in healthy, non-violent physical touch, and more likely to be rewarded for dominator/violent behavior by peers and adults
  5. Perpetrators of GBV are often previous victims or witnesses to GBV, which highlights the necessary steps toward healing of the traumatic effects for everyone involved.
